About SWU

Formed in 2003 the Calgary South West United Soccer Association (SWU) is an organization which is supported by five community soccer clubs located in the southwest: Shawnee, Fish Creek, SouthFour and CedarRidge.  In turn SWU provides administrative and technical support to these five community programs.

SWU provides a comprehensive soccer experience to players of all skill levels.  The club has professional coaches whose mandate is to train our athletes and coaches to achieve greater success at all age levels. Offering programs from U4 through U18, the emphasis is on fun soccer with the opportunity for player development appropriate to a person's skill level and interest. 

U4 to U8 age groups play in community house leagues on local fields and U10 to U18 teams consist of players from all five member soccer communities, thus allowing teams in every division to be as competitive as possible.  As well, the increased pool of players means that the level of ability of each team is uniform and therefore provides a more fulfilling soccer experience for each player.
